An Fall Virginia Wedding at Pippin Hill
As fall made its presence known in early November, Treat and Charlotte were ready to take the next step and become husband and wife. Family and friends came together at Pippin Hill Farm & Vineyards to celebrate a love as beautiful as the views.
Having grown up in Charlottesville, Charlotte always dreamed of marrying here, where her wedding could take place amidst the romance of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Her prince charming, a professional tennis player, shared her vision for a fall wedding.
From the vibrant bridesmaids’ dresses to the soft fall tones of the flowers, the couple’s color palette resembled a warm embrace over the wedding, all while complementing the backdrop of the mountains’ brilliant foliage. Charlotte was stunning in a timeless A-line Carolina Herrera dress and veil that showcased buttons down her back and an illusion neckline, paired with Jimmy Choo heels.
Charlotte worked with her aunt, famed interior designer Charlotte Moss who has received numerous awards and is the author of several books, to create a wedding that embraced natural beauty. The reception space was transformed into an autumn oasis. The walls, lined with branches of trees, towered over the tables and seemed to grow from the vaulted beams. The colorful hues of the leaves turned the space into a woodland fairytale as guests dined on tables draped in earthy green tablecloths, resembling the charm of forest moss.
Overflowing with layered plates, lush florals, gold flatware and crystal goblets, the table settings were romantic with a touch of old-world. The head table featured elegant green taper candles ascending from the foliage. Tying into the décor, guests enjoyed a ruffled, three-tiered cake following the farm-to-table cuisine and beverages from Pippin Hill.
As a triplet, Charlotte wanted to walk down the aisle with the support of her family. Her sister served as maid of honor, and her two brothers gave her away in lieu of her father who passed away when she was young. During the reception, Charlotte shared an emotional dance with her mother, which embodied the family’s strong bond and reflected the love present throughout Charlotte and Treat’s entire wedding day. ~
