A Fall Virginia Wedding at Veritas Vineyards & Winery
This stunning fall wedding, which you can see on the cover of our Fall/Winter version of Wine & Country Weddings Volume 5, shares a sweet story of two individuals, who after years of keeping in touch, were finally able to give love a shot.
After competitive public voting, Mark and Chloe’s wedding story was chosen as the Fan Favorite wedding in the WIne & Country Weddings 2020 Wedding of Year Contest. Congratulations Mark & Chloe and their dream team of vendors (see the complete list of their vendors at the bottom of this article).
Mark and Chloe tied the knot on a crisp, autumn day in October, surrounded by 200 of their closest family and friends. With the vineyard and Blue Ridge Mountains in the backdrop, the happiness on their faces mirrored all of the love and support shown by each and every guest.
When they were both teenagers, Mark and Chloe met while on a cruise. Over the years, the pair stayed in touch, but it wasn’t until Mark was passing through the city where Chloe was living that their romance blossomed. And so, started their life-long journey together.
Just as they had imagined, their wedding was a marriage between formal elegance and a night out on the town. Mark and Chloe aimed to combine the beauty of Veritas Vineyard & Winery’s countryside and the elegance of Saddleback Hall with the up-beat music of 76 Degrees West and the cocktail vibe of the space. Keeping with a more traditional color palette, the couple chose primarily white florals to decorate the spaces, not only complementing both Mark and Chloe’s attire but also allowing the hues of autumn’s natural beauty to shine.
The ceremony was a breathtaking event on the lawn of Saddleback Hall at Veritas. Classic white chairs and a petal-lined aisle led to a floral laden arch that framed the scenic view of the grapevines and the Blue Ridge Mountains in the distance, a scene familiar to those that frequent Veritas’ Starry Nights summer events.
Dressed in a bespoke tuxedo handcrafted by his uncle with custom cuff links, Mark waited for his bride beneath the blooming arch. As the curtains pulled back from the doorway, he saw Chloe in her Pronovias gown accompanied by her father, who the family refers to as “the Jammer” because of his love of dancing and bringing excitement to the room.
After the couple sealed their vows with a kiss, the excitement of the day segued into a night filled with music, laughter and irreplaceable memories.
Thanks to hundreds of candles and twinkling lights, Saddleback Hall shimmered with romance. The dim lighting gave way after dinner as the celebration hit an even higher note. The bride and groom chose to have a live band at their reception, featuring a special performance from singer and brother of the bride, Trevor Hall.
Mark and Chloe’s love was woven into every aspect of the wedding, from their private exchange of vows to each other and the father-brother first look to the old Hollywood getaway, personalized stationery and mini-me cake topper. And, from that day forward, they vowed to make every day a new celebration of their love for each other, proving that time and space cannot conquer the power of true love. ~
