Charlottesville weddings are the perfect place to find southern charm and rustic elegance. To continue with our submissions for “Wedding of the Year,” we would love to introduce Julie Mann and Andrew Plyler. With August just around the corner, Julie and Andrew showed us how to create the perfect color scheme for the dog days of summer. Combining rich purples and lush greens, the warmth of the color pallet exudes a radiance that matches that of the couple.
Fresh touches from local artisans, like the craft beers adorning the mahogany bar, created a homegrown feel. The two also share a love of basset hounds and found a unique way to weave their “must love dogs” mania into the reception through their signature bourbon-based drink, called “The Houndspit.”
Julie and Andrew stood outside amongst purple blooms along a flowerbox-lined bridge, enjoying the intimacy of the moment. The flowing water and the breeze through the branches of the willow made for a tranquil ambiance at the Boar’s Head Inn. The two came together amongst family and friends to celebrate their union, surrounded by the natural beauty of Jefferson’s Virginia.
