Mount Fair Vineyard

Surrounded on all sides by mountains, Mount Fair provides an extraordinary setting for events.  From hosting a small dinner at the Paddock House or Greenhouse to hosting weddings for up to 200 in our riding arena or on our fields, our venues can be flexibly used and host a wide range of guests in a uniquely creative way.

A wide variety of plant species can be found in our Hartley Botanic Greenhouse, which offers both visual beauty and occasionally delicious food. It is surrounded by two acres of English Garden-style flower, fruit, and vegetable gardens, making it the perfect location for spring, summer, and fall gatherings. On the greenhouse terrace, which is situated between two lawn panels and can hold up to 120 seated guests in one of our tents. This has been the happy site of many large weddings.

Mark Finlay, a well-known architect, designed our indoor riding arena which is also available for events. Over the past fifteen years, he has built or redesigned every building on the farm, giving the property a consistent look. The arena is 92′ x 164′ and has more than 15,000 square feet of room inside. The roof is supported by stained wood beams that rise 40′ above the floor and don’t have any interior columns. The meadows and horse paddocks next to the Paddock House, Arena, and Greenhouse offer breathtaking 360-degree mountain vistas. Mount Fair is situated near the entrance to Brown’s Cove, which runs between the Blue Ridge and Pigeon Top Mountain to the north and east, nestled in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. Each field and paddock provides a unique lovely view. Our hay fields provide the most open and remote vistas, but because of their remoteness, they need mobile infrastructure to provide restrooms and catering kitchens.
