A Romantic Real Wedding at Morais Vineyards in Virginia
Although Jessica and Chris’s outdoor ceremony was unexpectedly moved indoors due to rain, their wedding at Morais Vineyards was picture-perfect throughout. The soft pinks and gold used in the wedding gave the entire day a romantic glow, emphasizing the clear joy on Jessica and Chris’s faces and their excitement to marry one another.
The morning of their wedding began with heavy rain. As Main Street Events moved the ceremony indoors and set up the altar, Jessica and her bridesmaids got ready together. The women enjoyed champagne while being pampered together, maintaining their excitement even with the slight change in plans.
The bridesmaids wore floor-length dresses in a lovely shade of soft pink, creating a romantic atmosphere around Jessica for the wedding. Each bridesmaid chose a different style of neckline, allowing for personal flair while maintaining the cohesiveness of the rosy pink glow.
Jessica is a special education teacher and dance coach, so obviously her love of children meant she would incorporate those closest to her in her wedding day! The flower girls looked angelic in simple, off-the-shoulder white dresses, with crowns of baby’s breath only highlighting their angelic look.
The bride herself was stunning in her lace gown. The detailing of the lace makes this dress a showstopper—and that’s before you even see the back! The plunging back and unbelievable train make this dress even more incredible. We’re obsessed! The look on Chris’s face when he first sees her tells us he is, too.
Although unplanned, the indoor ceremony was incredible, and located in area also available for private events. The windows behind Jessica and Chris along with the overflowing floral arrangements make it hard to believe this wasn’t the original setting for the ceremony! The lighting alone made it look as if the location had been planned for months. Seeing Jessica and Chris’s faces walking back down the aisle after the ceremony says they would’ve been thrilled to marry each other anywhere!
After the ceremony, the space had to be rearranged for the reception. While waiting for the reception to get set up, Jessica and Chris got these stunning photos in the wine cellar.
Once the ceremony had been flipped for the reception, guests reentered to find a golden, romantic reception complete with a cookie table. Tables were set with beautiful floral arrangements and garlands by The Posey Detail, adding to the romantic feel of Jessica and Chris’s wedding. Each table number was marked with a golden bottle of champagne for guests to sign, numbered for Jessica and Chris to open and enjoy on their anniversaries to come.
Along with their sugar flower adorned cake, Jessica and Chris provided a table of cookies painted with their initials, both provided by Amphora Bakery. Both desserts had incredible detailing that made it hard to believe it was all edible (especially the sugar flowers!).
As the reception started, the skies cleared up enough for Jessica and Chris to get some pictures right at golden hour. The clear umbrella makes a sweet addition to the photos, and even after all the rain Morais Vineyards is beautiful.
During dinner, Jessica’s sister and Chris’s brother gave heartwarming speeches, followed by cake cutting and a bouquet and garter toss. The bride and groom shared a dance with their parents, Jessica with her dad and Chris with his mom. Both parents seemed nearly as excited as Jessica and Chris about their wedding.
Jessica is a dance coach, so guests obviously hit the dance floor to celebrate her and Chris’s new marriage, along with catching pictures in a photobooth to commemorate the day.
