As new submissions start to come in for Wedding of the Year, we reminisced on all of our stunning entries for 2015. One of our phenomenal applications was the wedding of Jim and Ann, photographed by the talented Melody Robbins. Pippin Hill was the perfect location for their dream wedding, as the couple wanted a relaxed and intimate venue in the Charlottesville area. The ceremony was held outside on a gorgeous afternoon overlooking the Blue Ridge Mountains. Afterwards, guests moved to a beautifully lit flower filled ballroom for the reception.
High school sweethearts who went their separate ways for college, the couple reunited later in life. Picking back up as if they had never lost a beat, theirs is a true love story. The wedding was attended by close family, friends and past classmates.
Jim and Ann chose to focus their ceremony around family and true love reunited. Following this theme, they included personal touches throughout the wedding, adding newspaper clippings from high school, along with yearbooks and other mementos from their early days as a couple.
